Offset Printing is seen as the traditional printing format for large runs as seen with newspapers, magazines, booklets, postcards and more. Offset printing is the transfer of ink from metal plate to a rubber sheet which rolls onto the paper. With this type of process, the set up cost is greater and it is more cost effective to print larger quantities with this method. There are no minimum quantities with digital printing and is the preferred method when jobs with lower quantities. Offset printing usually takes longer with a more complicated set up and drying time included. Digital printing is used with rushed orders. Offset Printing allows for more accurate colour consistency and can print on a variety of paper stock and weights. There are limited options available for digital printing. Discuss your print job with one of our branches and they let you know what the best recommendation for your order is.
